Congratulations Genevieve Mehra, Johns Hopkins University!

Name-Genevieve Mehra

Grad Year- 2020

High school- Radnor High School

Team/Position -Midfield Mayhem Legacy with Coach Hannah

College/intended major-Johns Hopkins University,

Why did you chose this college?

It had the perfect balance of a top tier field hockey program plus excellent academics. Plus, I’m very interested in STEM and research opportunities which Hopkins is known for.

Other colleges looked at: Haverford, Swarthmore

Field Hockey Honors: 2nd team all mainline

Best Field Hockey Memory:

Beating conestoga this year as a senior for the first time in 9 years

The best thing about being a Mayhem athlete:

Some of my best friends I have met because of Mayhem and it’s been incredible watching how well Alex has grown and developed this club

What are your field hockey goals?

I want to win a NCAA division 3 championship with Hopkins but personally I want to execute everything faster and more precisely.

What will you miss about being a Mayhem athlete:

I’m going to miss my team the most. I’ve been playing with most of the girls since middle school and it will be so weird not playing with them next year.

Who would you like to thank and why?

I would like to thank my coaches, Alex and Hannah, for helping me all these years and turning me into the player I am today. And I’d like to thank my parents for pushing me to start playing field hockey and encouraging me to keep going when I would get frusturated.

The Main Line Field Hockey Club

The Main Line Field Hockey Club (“Mayhem”) is the first field hockey club to offer advanced skills development in the heart of the Main Line of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. MAYHEM is about MORE than just field hockey. It’s about building confidence in young women that will change their lives, and it’s about coaches who are not only experts in their craft but who serve as role models.
