Shannon Mcneil

Although Shannon didn’t pick-up a field hockey stick until her freshman year at Paul VI High School, in Haddonfield, NJ, she immediately fell in love and launched a sparkling field hockey career. She was recruited by and played for St. Joseph’s University, a Division-1 Program, where she received NFHCA All-Academic Squad Honors her sophomore, junior, and senior years.

While at St. Joe’s, Shannon played midfield and defense and was awarded her team’s Unsung Hero award.  By her Senior year at SJU, she was elected Team Captain and named SJU’s “Most Outstanding Player”. Since college, Shannon has coached at various clubs and clinics. Shannon has been a coach with Mayhem since 2015.

Off the field, Shannon earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Education with a Reading Specialist certification and an Autism endorsement.  Shannon currently works as a K-2 special education teacher at Boothwyn Elementary School in Chichester, PA.
